Today was our “big day” in Switzerland. We woke up at 5:00a.m. (which was way too early) and we went to Lucerne where Carson got to see a really long covered bridge! The buildings and architecture here are amazing. The buildings all lined up along the river looked fake. Mom and I said we feel like we are Belle walking through her village in Beauty and the Beast. We got some really yummy chocolate and were off to the Swiss Alps. I don’t even know where to start. They were beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice. We went over one mountain pass and stopped for a picnic. The view was amazing and little did we know there was an old army fortress just around the corner. We were able to go inside and when we walked through we saw a glacier! It was really cool and now we can all say we’ve seen a glacier. We went over two mountain passes but when we were about 30 minutes away from our destination , there was a huge traffic accident. We are not sure what happened but they said the road would not be open for another 3 hours or so. So, we went back through the mountains the way we came and went to Bernadette’s home where we are just resting before a long day of traveling tomorrow from Switzerland to Austria. This whole trip doesn’t seem real and I can’t believe I am in Europe! Thanks for continuing to support us in prayer!
